One way to get some extra money and clear out some of your extra "stuff" is to have a yard sale. Now I know what your thinking. "I can't have a yard sale online!" Well actually you can!
Using Facebook you can create a group, name it something like "My Yard Sale Group" or if you want to include a large group of people name it after your area, for example "Madison County Yard Sale Site" That way not only can you sell your extra clutter but so can other people in your area. Including a large number of people into the group increases the chance that someone who wouldn't see your group if it was only limited to your Facebook friends will be able to access it and may be interested in buying your stuff.
Its wise to set up a public place to meet when yo make a sale, its local but it is still the internet. Its better to be safe than sorry. You can sell just about anything this way. As long as someone is willing to buy it you can sell it, not to mention its a lot of fun to browse through all the other listings and see what everyone else has up for sale.
You can go the traditional route too and use Facebook and other social networks as a way to advertise your Yard Sale, those ads in the news paper aren't always cheap and not everyone gets the news paper.
